Zambia's SMART organization has teamed up with Axis Solutions and ManageEngine to expand their digital services offerings.

On August 19, 2025, a workshop was held in Lusaka, Zambia, aimed at exploring new digital service management tools. The event was a collaboration between the e-Government Division of SMART Zambia Institute, Axis Solutions, and ManageEngine (India).

Key figures from SMART Zambia, including Mr. Munukayumbwa Lubasi, Director of Planning and Research, and Mr. Mulomba Hameja, Director of Digital Government Services, were present at the workshop.

During the workshop, Mr. Jothi Murugan from ManageEngine demonstrated the company's Full Stack Observability (FSO) technology. This AI-backed observability solution offers a comprehensive view of a network, encompassing both back-end infrastructure and user-facing services.

The FSO technology showcased at the workshop is designed to provide seamless monitoring and management across the entire IT infrastructure—from back-office systems to boardroom applications. It enables real-time visibility into servers, applications, microservices, cloud environments, networks, and user experience from a single unified platform.

The technology leverages AI and automation for proactive issue detection, root cause analysis, and optimization of digital service delivery. Key attributes of this Full Stack Observability solution include comprehensive, end-to-end visibility, AI-driven intelligence, unified monitoring dashboards, automation capabilities, and the enhancement of both user experience and system reliability.

The demonstration highlighted how Zambia’s public service sector can harness this technology to improve digital public service delivery by maintaining a seamless, reliable network and IT environment that supports the country’s digital transformation goals.

ManageEngine's Full Stack Observability technology aligns with the company's broader IT Operations Management (ITOM) and observability suite, which includes tools for application performance monitoring, network performance and security, infrastructure and cloud monitoring, log management, and synthetic user experience monitoring, all integrated to support intelligent, automated IT operations.

The goal of the workshop was to create a more seamless digital experience for citizens and government officials, and the demonstration of FSO technology during the workshop aimed to further this goal. The collaboration between SMART Zambia Institute, Axis Solutions, and ManageEngine (India) signifies a significant step towards enhancing digital public service delivery in Zambia.
