Yakutia's Construction Boom: Yakutcement's 600K Ton Cement Goal in 2024

Yakutia's construction industry is thriving, with Yakutcement, a major local producer, playing a pivotal role. The company, which employs 850 people, mostly from the Hangalas District, plans to produce 600 thousand tons of cement in 2024, following a record-breaking 580 thousand tons in 2023. Yakutcement's growth mirrors the republic's housing boom, with over 3.5 million square meters of housing commissioned in the past six years.

Yakutia's construction sector has seen significant growth, with 705.1 thousand square meters of housing commissioned in 2023 alone. This boom is supported by several small and medium-sized enterprises producing gravel and screenings, and Yakutcement's increased cement production. The company's tax payments are expected to exceed 1.6 billion rubles in 2024, reflecting its growing contribution to the local economy.

Aisen Nikolaev, the head of Yakutia, recently held a meeting at Yakutcement to discuss material supply for the republic's construction industry. The company supplies cement, gravel, and reinforced concrete products to various construction sites across Yakutia. Yakutcement's production has more than doubled in the past five years, making it a reliable partner for construction in the region.

Yakutcement's expansion, along with the national project 'Housing and Urban Environment' which has resettled over 32,000 citizens from dilapidated housing, indicates a bright future for Yakutia's construction industry. With Yakutcement's planned production of 600 thousand tons of cement in 2024 and its commitment to supporting local supply chains, the republic is well-positioned to continue its construction boom.
