Wordle Analysis

Wordle Bot helps you check your progress. Give it a spin to analyze your Wordles.

Today's Wordle was a bit tricky with RADIO as the starting guess. This left me with a single yellow 'A' and a daunting list of 261 potential solutions. CLUES provided two more yellow squares, but only narrowed the options to 26. OUCH! BEAST was a decent follow-up guess, whittling the possibilities down to just two: FEAST or YEAST. I opted for YEAST, and thankfully, it was the correct choice.

Competitive Wordle Score

I received zero points for solving the puzzle in four moves and tying Wordle Bot. The Bot also earned zero points. Our current scores are:

You: 11 points

Wordle Bot: 5 points

Today's Wordle Etymology

Yeast comes from Old English giest or gist, which means both "foam" and "leaven," referring to the froth produced by fermenting dough. The Old English word originated from the Proto-Germanic word justam, which in turn comes from the Proto-Indo-European root yeu, meaning "to swell" or "to foam."
