VPS Securities JSC Set to Triple Charter Capital in Historic IPO

VPS Securities JSC (VPS), a leading player in the stock market today, has announced its Initial Public Offering (IPO) plans. The company aims to raise capital by offering shares and issuing bonus shares, which will significantly increase its charter capital.

VPS currently controls nearly half the market in derivatives and has dominated the brokerage market share across all three exchanges. With an impressive 12-month return on equity (ROE) of 24.2% for the nine months of 2025, the company has maintained the highest ROE ratio in the securities industry. VPS serves over 1.6 million trading accounts, equivalent to 15% of Vietnam's total.

The IPO, set to be one of the largest capital-raising deals in the stock market's history, involves offering 202.3 million shares and 161.8 million private placement shares. Additionally, 710 million bonus shares will be issued. After the IPO, VPS's charter capital will nearly triple to VND16,441 billion ($622.53 million), placing it among securities firms with the largest charter capital in the market. By Q2/2025, 98% of VPS's financial assets were highly liquid, and its capital adequacy ratio rose to 750.7%, almost three times the regulatory ratio. Notably, VPS does not engage in proprietary trading, ensuring maximum objectivity in its brokerage, margin lending, and advisory services.

VPS's IPO is expected to provide the company with enormous financial resources, further solidifying its position in the stock market. With its strong financial performance, extensive client base, and commitment to objectivity, VPS continues to be a prominent player in Vietnam's stock market.
