Vietnam, Saudi Arabia Explore New Investment, Trade Cooperation in Working Session

A recent working session between Vietnam's Association of Foreign-Invested Enterprises (VAFIE) and Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources has sparked new hopes for investment and trade cooperation between the two nations. The meeting explored potential projects and partnerships, contributing to the deepening of bilateral economic relations.

The session saw Vietnamese enterprises expressing their desire to build sustainable, long-term partnerships and establish shared value chains with Saudi Arabia. Notable projects discussed included next-generation battery research, biochar technology, IoT-AI solutions for energy management, waste-to-clean-fuel conversion, and agricultural preservation technologies. The meeting explored potential cooperation projects in energy, industry, agriculture, and infrastructure.

Saudi Arabia, in turn, encouraged Vietnamese businesses to invest in renewable energy, automotive industry, consumer goods manufacturing, smart agriculture, and supporting industries. Companies like Van Thuan Group, Giza Vietnam, and Gilimex showcased projects in high-tech agriculture, logistics, industrial parks, and manufacturing infrastructure. Saudi Arabia's Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Ibrahim Alkhorayef, appreciated the proposed projects and encouraged studying specific cooperation opportunities. Invest Global Center presented renewable energy projects in Ha Tinh, Son La, Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa, and the Vietnam Metro project.

The working session opened up new expectations for Vietnam-Saudi Arabia investment and trade cooperation. With both nations exploring potential projects and partnerships across various sectors, the stage is set for deepening bilateral economic relations. The next steps will involve studying specific cooperation opportunities and fostering further collaboration between Vietnamese and Saudi Arabian businesses.
