VDL & Van Hool Debut Together at Busworld Europe 2024 with Futura 3 Coach
VDL Bus Group and Van Hool, now united under VDL, make their debut together at Busworld Europe 2024. The event marks their first joint appearance since VDL's acquisition of Van Hool earlier this year. The highlight of their showcase is the new Futura 3 coach.
VDL Bus Group, a subsidiary of VDL Groep, has revealed the Futura 3 at Busworld Europe. This latest model aims to reduce fuel consumption by up to 15% by operating on alternative HVO fuel sources. It also boasts improved comfort and technology features, including a redesigned climate control system, LED lighting, ergonomic seating, and updated ADAS driver assistance systems.
The Futura 3 is designed with modular components and improved accessibility to technical systems. This innovation aims to decrease maintenance costs. Both VDL Bus Group and Van Hool will display unique solutions at the event. VDL will showcase the Citea 13.5-metre Low Entry vehicle, while Van Hool will present the Astron super-high decker and Astromega double-decker vehicles.
The Futura 3, unveiled at Busworld Europe 2024, signifies the combined efforts of VDL and Van Hool since VDL's takeover. This new coach promises reduced fuel consumption, enhanced comfort, and lower maintenance costs, setting a new standard in the industry.
