In a thrilling turn of events, Fennica Gaming, Veikkaus' game development powerhouse, has added another feather to its cap, securing a gaming-related vendor license from the UAE's General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA). This paves the way for Fennica to offer its enticing 'Games as a Service' to licensed operators in the Emirates, significantly bolstering their international presence.
Timo Kiiskinen, Fennica Gaming's managing director, gleefully declared, "Securing the Gaming Related Vendor License from the GCGRA marks a significant milestone for Fennica Gaming as we expand our footprint globally. The UAE's burgeoning gaming market seems to be swarming with reputable vendors, as Fennica Gaming joins a prestigious league that already counts the likes of Scientific Games, Random State, IGT, Novomatic, Aristocrat, EQL Games, and Xpoint among its ranks.
Scientific Games International Limited, for instance, has been licensed to distribute lottery products and services, while Random State, a Swedish-based company, claimed its spot among the latest approved suppliers. IGT Global Services Ltd and Novomatic AG have also received their vendor licenses, and Aristocrat Technologies Europe finds itself among the licensed gaming-related vendors, all duly authorized to supply technology, content, or services to licensed gaming operators within the UAE’s regulated gaming sector.
Currently, land-based gaming operations are confined to Wynn Al Marjan, with The Game LLC holding the lone lottery operations license. The UAE's gaming market is shaping up to be an intriguing playing field, with Fennica Gaming primed to make its mark.
