Tyumen Oil & Gas Forum Drives Industry Growth with Record Domestic Innovations

The Tyumen Oil and Gas Forum (TNF), now in its second decade, has proven its effectiveness in driving domestic industry growth. This year's event, held in the 'Technological Days' format, facilitated direct dialogue between small and medium-sized businesses and industry giants like 'Rosneft', 'Gazprom', and 'Surgutneftegaz'.

The forum, integrated into the industry management system, serves as a platform for swift feedback between business and government. It assists smaller enterprises through pitch sessions and the 'Territory of Technology' award, boasting a prize fund of 1.5 million rubles.

The 'Oil and Gas Cluster' association, comprising 200 companies from 26 Russian regions, played a significant role in matching clients with equipment producers and oil service companies. This year, 157 new domestic solutions were presented and are already in use within the industry.

TNF's international recognition was evident in 2025, with participants from Belarus, Kazakhstan, and the United Arab Emirates. However, the specific companies that conducted the Technology Day to identify potential suppliers and partners remain unclear.

Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov proposed extending 'Russianness' requirements to oil services, starting with the oil and gas sector. This move follows Government Decree No. 1875, which provides preferences for Russian products but not works and services, sparking debate.

Over the past decade, Russia has mastered 160 types of various equipment, with 220 positions needing replacement by the end of 2023. The Tyumen Oil and Gas Forum continues to promote sustainable development of the domestic industry, serving as a vital platform for dialogue, innovation, and growth.
