Trend Micro Boosts Aussie Security with Excite IT Partnership
Trend Micro Australia has inked a deal with Excite IT, a subsidiary of Cipherpoint, to bolster its security offerings. The agreement, set for an initial three-year term, allows for early termination upon notice. Both parties expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, with Trend Micro Vice President ANZ, Ashley Watkins, citing the completion of its service offering with local managed SOC capability.
The new services, currently in their final deployment and testing phase, are expected to support Trend Micro's managed detection and response service in Australia. The first customer onboarding is slated for June. Cipherpoint CEO Bryan Saba welcomed the partnership, noting it opens up new opportunities for the group, including offering advisory and remediation news. Trend Micro will offer SOCaaS to its users, with Excite IT providing the services at agreed commercial rates.
The alliance between Trend Micro and Excite IT is set to enhance Trend Micro's security platform in Australia. With the final stages of deployment and testing complete, the first customers can expect to be onboarded in June. This partnership not only strengthens Trend Micro's service offering but also presents new opportunities for Cipherpoint.
