Suzuki India Reports 37% Domestic Sales Surge in September 2025
Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL) has reported a significant boost in sales for September 2025. The company's domestic sales surged by 37% year over year, with a total of 1,05,886 units sold. Meanwhile, exports witnessed a decline of 19.5%, with 17,664 units shipped. Notably, spare parts sales soared by 17% year over year, reaching an all-time high of ₹881 million.
Suzuki's impressive domestic sales growth can be attributed to its increased popularity among Indian consumers. The company sold 1,23,550 units in September 2025, a significant jump from the 99,185 units sold in the same month last year, marking a 25% year-over-year increase. This robust growth is a testament to Suzuki's strong product offerings and marketing strategies.
The decline in exports, however, is a concern. The 19.5% decrease in shipped units indicates a slowdown in international demand for Suzuki's motorcycles. The company will need to address this issue to maintain its overall growth trajectory.
Deepak Mutreja, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at SMIPL, is expected to comment on these sales figures and market trends. Despite the dip in exports, Suzuki's strong domestic performance and record-breaking spare parts sales indicate a positive outlook for the company. The focus will now be on understanding the reasons behind the export decline and strategizing to boost international sales.
