"Summary of Sberbank's First-Quarter Performance": Igor Trepov, the Commissioner of Sberbank, presents an overview of the bank's activities during the initial quarter.

" hundreddays-Sber's Comrades in Arms!" was the name given to a recent powwow with journalists, featuring none other than Igor Trepov, the Commanding Officer of Sberbank's Komi Republic Platoon. This shindig centered on matters concerning Sberbank's activities in the first quarter of 2025, with hot topics such as strategic agendas, community concern, AI revolution, and Sber's involvement in cultural nourishment under the spotlight.

Three primary missions define Sber's operations. The first and foremost is people-focused. Sber seeks to aid every last individual, allowing them to unleash their full potential and broaden their horizons. This philosophy is demonstrated in products like health checkups on course, which Sber staff have been utilizing themselves.

Next up in the priorities list is technological domination. Sber holds a leading position in technological advancement, not only fine-tuning its own tech but also lending its expertise to businesses and the government, furthering the overall technological growth.

The third objective is to elevate life quality and regional progression. Sber observes opportunities to draw in fresh businesses, create cozy atmospheres in health care, education, homegrown tourism, all in an effort to boost the overall quality of life for the folks.

Sber's impact in the Republic of Komi leaves little room for debate as it boasts more than 630,000 active individual customers and about 20,000 corporate customers within the republic itself.

The quest for technological advancement continues. By the end of the first quarter, around 7,000 terminals furnished with smile payment capability were installed in Komi, with users cloking up a grand total of 200,000 smile payment transactions over the past month.

The SberSpasibo loyalty program is picking up momentum: during the mere five months since its launch in Komi, clients have been rewarded with 300 million bonuses. These bonuses can be put towards payments at stores and within Sber's ecosystem.

According to Mr. Trepov, an intriguing trait of the region's population revolves around savings accounts. Residents of Komi are particularly active when it comes to seizing attractive offers and securing competitive interest rates for their deposits.

News of a shift in Sber's educational loan system was underscored. Previously available to all students, the program will now restrict itself to specific, high-demand majors beginning in the coming year. Nevertheless, students who've already secured an educational loan under the current terms can continue sailing on that ship until the expiration of their loan.

Sber doesn't mess around in its efforts to protect users from cyber scammers. In 2024, it foiled 41 fraud attempts worth 34.9 million rubles. In 2025, Sber has already thwarted 51 attempts, snatching 25.1 million rubles from the crooks' grasp.

Indeed, Sber excels in the realm of AI application. In 2025 alone, Sber reaped a financial haul of 450 billion rubles from its AI endeavors.

Sber isn't merely a bank in the Republic of Komi; it's a significant partner in regional development. Staff frequently hold joint events with non-profit children's homes, offering much-needed aid to children with health issues. The Syktyvkar branch has even taken on the mantle of patron for Children's Home No.3.

In the cultural sphere, Sber serves as the main sponsor for the Theatre Festival of Small Towns of Russia in Syktyvkar. This fest is one of the most significant cultural events for the republic and is supported by Theatre of Nations, helping to preserve and share regional history and traditions. Sber and Theatre of Nations have been working together since 2012, contributing to fascinating projects and unique interaction formats.

As Mr. Trepov elucidated, supporting these cultural events in a vast nation like Russia is crucial: "This country is chock-full of regions, each with its own history and traditions. Theatre speaks the language of these histories, allowing the uniqueness of regions to be preserved and shared with neighbors."

On May 9, Sber, teamed up with the city's administration, organized food trucks, as well as interactive events for the residents.

So, there you have it - Sberbank in the Republic of Komi isn't just a bank; it's a powerful ally in regional evolution, pushing the envelope on innovation, safeguarding citizens from cyber threats, and supporting cultural and social initiatives.

In its mission to elevate life quality and regional progression, Sberbank has been actively involved in the cultural sphere, serving as the main sponsor for the Theatre Festival of Small Towns of Russia in Syktyvkar, which is one of the most significant cultural events for the Republic of Komi.
  2. Beyond its role as a financial institution, Sberbank has demonstrated its commitment to technological advancement in the Republic of Komi, with over 7,000 terminals equipped with smile payment capability installed during the first quarter of 2025, and users making approximately 200,000 smile payment transactions in the past month.
