Starrag Unveils Heckert X80: Compact 5-Axis Machining Powerhouse
Starrag has introduced the Heckert X80, a versatile 5-axis machining center that combines precision, productivity, and compactness. This new addition to the Heckert range features a 24-inch touchscreen HMI and a Siemens Sinumerik One control system, along with enhanced automation capabilities.
The Heckert X80 boasts impressive specifications. It can accommodate workpieces up to 1200 mm in diameter and 1000 mm in height, with loading masses of up to 1200 kg. The machine offers a traverse rate of 65 m/min, with pallet changeover times of 21 seconds and tool changeover times of just 8 seconds.
The X80's 5-axis machining capabilities are enhanced by a workpiece-side swivel unit, enabling high-dynamic machining from a single clamping position. Turning technology is available as an option, allowing both classic and complex turning operations at machining center productivity levels.
The X80 provides a range of spindle options, including 12,500 rpm hollow shaft spindles and 15,000 rpm motor spindles, along with various gear spindles. It also offers tool magazine options, from timing belt magazines with 45 or 60 positions to chain magazines with up to 120 positions and tower magazines with up to 440 positions.
The Heckert X80 delivers exceptional precision and productivity within a compact footprint, requiring 18% less installation space than its HEC Series predecessor. With its advanced features and versatile capabilities, the Heckert X80 is set to make a significant impact in the machining industry.
