Sony Honda Mobility's First Vehicle, AFEELA 1, Set for Mass Production in 2026
Sony Honda Mobility is gearing up for mass production of its first vehicle, the AFEELA 1, with a state-of-the-art Quality Gate under construction. The facility, set to begin operations in 2026, will serve as the final production checkpoint, ensuring uncompromising quality and precision.
The plant is currently fine-tuning panel gaps to sub-millimeter precision, using custom-built jigs for unmatched consistency. Pre-production trials are ongoing at Honda's East Liberty Auto Plant in Ohio.
