Solana Price Poised for Breakout as Bulls Eye $250
Solana's price is gaining traction, with strong technicals and bullish catalysts drawing market attention. The cryptocurrency is poised for a potential breakout, with analysts eyeing a range of $230-$250.
Solana's price has been consolidating around $206, forming higher lows and compressing into a triangular pattern on lower timeframes. This structure, combined with rising moving averages, suggests a strong breakout is imminent once momentum aligns. To confirm this shift, SOL needs to clear the $214 to $218 range, paving the way for a potential rally to $235-$240.
Adding to the bullish case, roughly $2 billion in short interest is stacked across Solana's order books, creating a dense layer of resistance. However, if fresh liquidity enters the market, shorts could be forced to cover quickly, accelerating rallies and pushing the price through resistance zones more rapidly.
Deepening liquidity is also expected from a $400 million Solana treasury from Crypto.com, signaling long-term commitment from bigger players. Meanwhile, ETF speculation could drive a breakout in Solana price, following a similar playbook to Bitcoin's earlier ETF-driven rallies. Several asset managers, including Franklin Templeton and Fidelity Investments, have submitted applications for Solana ETF staking. The US SEC is expected to make a decision on these applications within approximately two weeks from early October 2025, likely by mid-October 2025.
Solana price needs to defend the $183 support zone to maintain its broader ascending setup, leaving room for targets of $250 in the near term and potentially challenging the $300 mark in the coming months. With strong technicals, bullish catalysts, and deepening liquidity, SOL is well-positioned to challenge higher valuations with less volatility.
