Sochi's Electric Trains Boosted to Ease Summer Congestion

Sochi's electric train service has been boosted to tackle summer road congestion. The 'Lastochka' trains, running since 2013, will now cover the Sochi to Imeretinsky Resort route. This move aims to transport more people and ease traffic during the tourist season.

The new timetable sees the earliest train depart Sochi at 5:25 AM and Imeretinsky Resort at 3:51 AM. The journey takes 48 minutes, with tickets priced at 208 rubles. The waiting interval has been reduced to an average of 40 minutes, with 26 trains running in both directions daily. These trains will connect Sochi's centre through Matsesta, Host, Adler to Sirius, benefiting both residents and visitors.

Last year, over 16 million people were transported by these electric trains in Sochi. The bus schedule will also be adjusted to facilitate transfers. While the timetable for trains from Krasnodar-1 to Goryachy Klyuch is updated seasonally, no specific changes are currently scheduled.

The enhanced electric train service in Sochi is set to significantly reduce road traffic during the tourist season. With improved frequency, convenient routes, and reduced waiting times, these trains are expected to carry more passengers than ever before.
