It looks like Apple found itself in hot water over privacy concerns surrounding Siri. Back in the year, Apple agreed to a whopping $95 million settlement following allegations of privacy violations. If you owned a Siri-enabled device such as an iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac, HomePod, iPod touch, or Apple TV between September 17, 2014, and December 31, 2024, and experienced unintended Siri activation during a confidential or private conversation, then you might be eligible for a payout.

Eligible individuals can claim their share of the settlement by submitting a claim form online. If you received a personalized postcard or email containing a claim identification number (Notice ID) and confirmation code, simply log into the site and begin the claims process. Keep an eye out for the email, as its subject line, "Lopez Voice Assistant Class Action Settlement," is a bit misleading and might have ended up in your spam folder.

If you didn't receive a notice but believe you qualify, you can still submit a claim on the settlement website. Provide personal information such as your name, address, phone number, and email, together with the email address linked to your Siri device(s). You will also need to upload proof of purchase or provide serial and model numbers for each device claimed.

Remember, the deadline to submit a claim is July 2, 2025. The court will hold a final approval hearing on Aug. 1, and any appeals after the meeting could delay payouts. Claimants may receive up to $20 per Siri device, with the exact payout depending on the number of devices claimed and the total number of submissions.

If you don't feel like cashing in, you have the option to opt out of the settlement and retain your right to sue Apple over related issues in the future. Instructions for requesting exclusion can be found on the settlement page FAQ, also with a July 2 deadline.
