Simplified Audio-Visual Management with Four Latest Extron Network Button Panels
Extron, a leader in professional AV technology, has announced the launch of its new AV system control interfaces - the Flex55 and EU Series Network Button Panels. Designed to offer advanced control for AV systems, these panels integrate seamlessly with Extron control systems and IP-based AV control environments.
Flex55 Network Button Panel
The Flex55 Network Button Panel provides five customizable mechanical buttons that can control various AV system functions. These include powering devices on/off, switching inputs or sources, adjusting volume or muting audio, activating presets or macros for complex AV sequences, and triggering display power or projector controls.
The Flex55 operates over standard Ethernet networks, offering flexible installation locations without the need for direct wiring to AV devices. Each button features multi-color LEDs that provide real-time feedback on system status, such as input active or mute on. The panel communicates with Extron control processors via Ethernet, allowing it to execute or trigger control logic on the AV system.
EU Series Network Button Panels (e.g., EU 100, EU 200, EU 350)
The EU Series offers more buttons in various layouts, making them ideal for environments requiring extensive control options. These panels come with programmable backlighting for easy identification of buttons and can be customized for different AV functions.
The EU Series Network Button Panels offer comprehensive AV control functions, including source selection and switching, volume control (up, down, mute), room control features (lighting, shades), projector control (power, input, lens adjustments), activating scene or preset recalls, and controlling AV routing and matrix switchers.
Like the Flex55, the EU Series panels use IP for seamless integration, reducing wiring complexity. They serve as user interface panels tightly integrated with Extron’s control system suites to manage diverse AV infrastructures.
Shared Functionalities Across Both Series
Both the Flex55 and EU Series Network Button Panels operate over Ethernet for flexible system designs. They function as input devices in Extron’s control ecosystem, where buttons trigger commands that the processor executes. LEDs provide visual feedback, enhancing the user experience, and the panels allow expanding the control interface as needs grow, from small to large AV environments.
The NBP EU Series supports applications worldwide, and it is compatible with the Flex55 modules, mounting kits, and enclosures, as well as EU junction boxes. Both series offer the convenience of PoE (Power over Ethernet) and are easy to use, performing a wide variety of AV system functions.
In summary, the Flex55 and EU Series Network Button Panels perform AV system functions primarily centered around source selection, device power control, volume adjustment, preset execution, and status feedback — all controlled and monitored over an IP network and integrated within Extron control system environments.
