Shark's latest Glam multi-styler shares a striking resemblance to the FlexFusion: Let's explore the differences.
Introducing the Shark Glam: A Versatile Multi-Styler for Glamorous Hair
Shark, a well-known brand in the world of hair styling, has unveiled a new addition to its family - the Shark Glam. This multi-styler is designed to cater to those seeking versatility and a glamorous finish for their hair.
The Shark Glam is an ultimate hair styler, focusing on versatility and easy transformation to create multiple hairstyles using specific attachments tailored for smoothing, curling, and volumizing. It comes with styling heads optimized for different looks like waves, curls, or sleek styles, aiming at a more glamorous, polished finish.
In contrast, the Shark FlexFusion is a more multifunctional tool combining heat and airflow for styling. It includes attachments like a straightener with built-in air vents allowing simultaneous drying and shaping of hair. FlexFusion offers more control over heat levels and airflow, catering to styling while drying wet hair, with modes for heat intensity and air flow variations.
Here's a comparison of the key features between the two:
| Feature | Shark Glam | Shark FlexFusion | |------------------------|-------------------------------------------|---------------------------------------------| | Styling Focus | Versatile multi-style creating glam looks | Combined heat + airflow for drying & styling | | Attachments | Variety for smoothing, curling, volumizing | Straightener, drying vents, fan & heat controls | | Functionality | Styling only | Simultaneous drying and styling | | Control Settings | Style-specific tool heads | Adjustable heat and airflow settings |
The Shark Glam's improvements toward heat tech seem to be targeted for folks with type three and four hair. It is equipped with a new Heat Sense technology, which is housed in the main unit, ensuring consistent heat distribution and protection from heat damage.
The Shark Glam is available for purchase at Sephora and Shark's website. As of this writing, only one Shark Glam model is available for sale online - the straight & wavy model. However, the curly & coily model is also available, which includes a Wide tooth comb, not included with the main unit.
The Shark Glam is priced at $449. It comes with the Shark Silki, an air straightener with ceramic hot plates included in the Shark Glam for styling with air, heat, or both. The Concentrator, a standard blow dryer attachment for focusing airflow while drying, is also included.
Interestingly, the individual attachments on both Shark Glam and Shark FlexFusion models will be available for purchase and will work on the main unit of the Fusion. The FrizzFighter tool, which uses Coanda air to grab and smooth flyaways, is included in the Shark Glam.
The Shark Glam is called "the first multi-styler that has the versatility of air styling and ceramic hot tool styling." It's a significant step forward in the world of hair styling, offering a unique blend of technology and versatility.
