S&P Global Launches S&P Digital Markets 50 Index for Comprehensive Crypto Exposure
S&P Global is set to expand its crypto index offerings with the launch of the S&P Digital Markets 50 Index. This new index will combine cryptocurrencies and publicly traded crypto-linked equities, providing a comprehensive measure of performance across the global crypto market.
The S&P Digital Markets 50 Index will include 35 companies involved in various aspects of the digital asset world, such as operations, infrastructure providers, financial services, blockchain applications, and supporting technologies. Additionally, it will feature 15 cryptocurrencies selected from the S&P Cryptocurrency Broad Digital Market Index.
This launch comes amidst growing demand for broader and more diversified exposure to decentralized global markets. The new index will join S&P Dow Jones Indices' existing series of digital asset benchmarks, further enriching the world market's landscape. S&P Global believes this will provide a measure of performance across both sides of the crypto market, supporting transparency and informed decision-making.
The S&P Digital Markets 50 Index, a collaboration between S&P Global and Dinari, will track a wide range of companies and digital assets connected to the crypto market. This innovative index is set to provide investors with a robust tool for navigating the dynamic world of global digital markets.
