Robust runner designed for both trail and road, Hoka unveils the Challenger 8, ready to conquer any terrain you choose for your run.
🚨🚨🚨 Buckle up, trail runners! Hoka, the rapid-growing trail running titan, ain't slowing down anytime soon. Fresh off the press is their latest addition, the Challenger 8, ready to conquer your summer expeditions.
After the smashing success of the Mafate X launch and the re-release of the iconic Speedgoat 2, the new Challenger 8 is gearing up to make a splash—just in time for those rough and rugged adventures we live for.
The Challenger series is a favorite among those who love to dabble in both road and trail, and the brains behind Hoka's designs suggest the Challenger 7 as their top pick for gravel and mixed terrain. But watch out! The Challenger 8 is coming, and it's shaping up to be impressive.
💥 What's cooking?
Like the popular Clifton 10, which underwent some major makeovers, the Challenger 8 holds nothing back when it comes to updates. Hoka labels the new shoe a "gravel-grinding workhorse loved for its hyper-cushy ride," and they've packed even more foam underfoot (31mm previously) into this beast! The revamped fit also includes a minimalistic upper, plush collar, and a 3D screen-printed toe cap for added durability.
The drop has increased from 5mm to 8mm but remains neutral with a symmetrical cushion bed, providing a smooth ride through diverse terrain.
In terms of outsole design, Hoka has reimagined the lugs, adopting a 4mm multi-directional layout that promises the best all-terrain ride yet. For those hitting the roads, reflective details ensure visibility during low-light conditions.
The Hoka Challenger 8 drops in multiple colorways on July 1, available in both men's and women's sizes for a pocket-friendly $155.
