Road User Charging Asia Pacific 2024: ETC, MLFF Tolling & Global Insights

The Road User Charging Conference Asia Pacific 2024 is set to take place in Singapore on October 02-03. With over 20 sessions and speakers, the event promises to delve into the transformative impact of electronic toll collection (ETC) systems and more.

Dr Vu Minh Khuong will lead a presentation on the transformative impact of ETC systems in Vietnam. Meanwhile, Allan Fels will discuss the independent review of Sydney's toll system and the creation of a new government tolling company.

The conference will focus on Machine Learning-based Free Flow (MLFF) tolling, with an all-new speaker line-up. Sheyda Karimova from Azerbaijan's Ministry of Digital Development and Transport will explore sustainability and toll road development. Tariq Munir will delve into public perception and challenges in implementing Road User Charging (RUC) in Victoria, Australia.

Notably, the conference will not feature a speaker specifically addressing the implementation of electronic payment systems in the Philippines. However, Philip Maluping from Manila's Department of Public Works and Highways will discuss the Philippines' toll road expansion. Abdukodir Yokubov will provide insights into Uzbekistan's Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) for toll roads, while Amit Ranjan Chitranshi from India's IHMCL will share insights on India's transition to GNSS-based tolling.
