Recut appreciated production of Battle of Red Cliff, boasting Christie in leading role
In the heart of Chibi Town, Xianning, Hubei Province, China, a new cultural tourism experience has emerged. The immersive performance titled 'Red Cliff: Borrowing the East Wind' has taken the historic Three Kingdoms Ancient Battlefield Scenic Area by storm.
Produced by Hubei Dingtu Culture and Tourism and directed by the renowned multi-disciplinary artist Luo Kege, this performance combines live performance with advanced display technologies. The result is a mesmerising blend of light, shadow, and storytelling that brings iconic scenes and characters from the Battle of Red Cliff to life with extraordinary realism.
At the core of this technological spectacle are seven Christie DWU19-HS laser projectors. These high-performance projectors, provided by Jianye Display, offer exceptional brightness, rich colour reproduction, and rock-solid reliability. The DWU19-HS projectors are showcased to their full potential in 'Red Cliff: Borrowing the East Wind,' with visuals projected onto the left citadel wall and the sails of a massive onstage warship.
Jianye Display's technical team implemented strict safety protocols during installation, ensuring a seamless integration of the projection systems into the performance area, which were installed high above the stage. The installation of the projection systems was completed in just one month.
Advanced 3D simulation was used by Jianye Display's team to calculate projection angles and positioning, ensuring a harmonious blend of technology and artistry. The performance's success has not gone unnoticed. Han Kim, VP of sales, Asia-Pacific, Christie, praised Jianye Display, commending their expertise and dedication in delivering 'Red Cliff: Borrowing the East Wind.'
Luo Kege's innovative approach to cultural tourism has created a shining example of how technology and creativity can work hand-in-hand. The fusion of these elements has elevated the Three Kingdoms Ancient Battlefield Scenic Area into a must-visit destination for tourists seeking an immersive cultural experience. With 'Red Cliff: Borrowing the East Wind,' Chibi Town offers a fresh perspective on China's rich history, making it an unforgettable addition to any travel itinerary.
