Qatar readies for MWC25 Doha under the Prime Minister's guidance
MWC Doha 2025, the first-ever mobile technology event in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, is set to take place in Qatar on November 25-26, 2025, at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre. Under the high-level patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, this landmark event aims to position Doha as a strategic hub for digital transformation in the region.
The event, organised by the GSMA in partnership with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) of Qatar, reflects Qatar's commitment to a sustainable, innovation-driven digital economy as per Qatar National Vision 2030. H.E. Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology in Qatar, stated that hosting MWC Doha 2025 reflects the national leadership's strategic vision to position Qatar at the forefront of global digital innovation.
MWC Doha 2025 brings together flagship features from Barcelona, including the 4YFN zone, a key platform for the startup ecosystem, connecting global investors with founders to shape the future of technology innovation, and the GSMA Ministerial Programme, which brings together regional and international policymakers to shape the future of the digital ecosystem in the MENA region.
The event is expected to attract international participants from around 60 countries, including 40% Director level and senior executives, technology leaders, investors, policymakers, and innovators. Confirmed exhibitors include Mannai, Cisco, Nokia, and more, with Ooredoo as a Strategic Partner and Qatar University as the Educational Partner.
The event agenda will focus on three overarching themes: AI Nexus, Intelligent Economies, and Connected Industries. Thematic tracks at MWC25 Doha will cover topics like agentic AI, intelligent telecom networks, fintech, smart mobility, data centres, 5G, IoT, and satellite connectivity.
Vivek Badrinath, the Director General at GSMA, expressed excitement about bringing MWC to Qatar for the first time, as the region strives to advance the next generation of digital societies. It is expected to provide a platform for meaningful partnerships to drive regional and global impact, reinforcing Qatar's role as a global convener of technology leaders and a regional hub for advanced connectivity, AI integration, and smart infrastructure.
