Qatar readies for MWC25 Doha under the Prime Minister's guidance

The first edition of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region is set to take place at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC) on November 25-26, 2025. Organised by the GSMA and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) of Qatar, MWC25 Doha promises to be a major technology conference, focusing on digital transformation across vital sectors.

A Focus on Digital Transformation

MWC25 Doha will centre around three overarching themes: AI Nexus, Intelligent Economies, and Connected Industries. AI Nexus will explore the transformative power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across business, governance, and daily life. Intelligent Economies will delve into digital infrastructure, data sovereignty, and smart networks. Connected Industries will discuss the integration of frontier technologies in sectors like mobility, finance, energy, and logistics.

The event aims to highlight cutting-edge innovations such as agentic AI, intelligent telecom networks, fintech, smart mobility, 5G, Internet of Things (IoT), satellite connectivity, and policy shaping for the connected economy.

Key Features and Participation

MWC25 Doha will feature a lineup of summits bringing together global experts to explore innovations and real-world applications. The event is expected to engage countries and partners from the broader MENA region and beyond. For example, Syria's minister received an official invitation to attend MWC25 Doha, reflecting participation from regional governments and telecommunications sectors.

A key platform for the startup ecosystem will be the 4YFN zone, connecting global investors with founders to shape the future of technology innovation. The event agenda will explore how emerging technologies are shaping the future of economies and societies worldwide.

Regional and Global Partnerships

MWC25 Doha has confirmed exhibitors such as Mannai, Cisco, Nokia, South Korean and Turkish companies, and Ooredoo as a Strategic Partner. Qatar University has been confirmed as the Educational Partner for MWC25 Doha, a first for an MWC event.

The dedicated GSMA Ministerial Programme brings together regional and international policymakers to shape the future of the digital ecosystem in the MENA region.

Reflecting Qatar's Vision for a Sustainable Digital Economy

Hosting MWC Doha reflects Qatar's strategic vision to be at the forefront of global digital innovation. The event underscores Qatar’s role as a tech hub and convener of global technology leaders, reinforcing the digital transformation of vital sectors including government, education, commerce, and energy. MWC25 Doha supports national efforts to accelerate digital transformation across these sectors, aligning with Qatar National Vision 2030.

The event is expected to attract international participants from around 60 countries, including 40% Director level and senior executives.
