Q-Free & Telekom Slovenije Upgrade Dars d.d. Toll System for Seamless EU Cross-Border Payments

Q-Free, in collaboration with Telekom Slovenije, has significantly enhanced Dars d.d.'s tolling back office system. This upgrade integrates charging and payment processes, enabling seamless tolling across borders and marking Slovenia's inclusion in the Toll4Europe program.

Previously, truck drivers and freight companies had to manage multiple toll transponders for different countries. Now, a single onboard unit (OBU) can be used to pay tolls seamlessly across borders, including Germany, Poland, Austria, and other European nations.

Dars d.d., Slovenia's toll operator, hopes this upgrade will streamline cross-border toll payments, saving time and money for trucking companies and drivers. The upgrade is part of Toll4Europe's focus on delivering interoperable toll systems for seamless communication and invoicing across borders.

The successful upgrade of Dars d.d.'s system by Q-Free and Telekom Slovenije allows for a single toll transponder to be used across multiple European countries, simplifying cross-border toll payments for truck drivers and freight companies.
