Pseudonymous Influencer Buzzlamic Jihad Joins Aptos as Advisor
Pseudonymous influencer Buzzlamic Jihad has joined Aptos as an advisor, aiming to enhance its image and attract more users. The move comes after his memes helped boost developer interest in the network and its APT token on TripAdvisor in February.
Jihad, previously a growth marketing specialist, was mentored by Chase Herro and Zak Folkman, co-founders of World Liberty Financial. He plans to leverage his relationship with them to bring 'net new buyers' to Aptos. After initially turning down a marketing role, Jihad accepted an advisor appointment following further discussions. Notably, he requested to be paid entirely in APT tokens, demonstrating his belief in the network.
Jihad's journey mirrors that of Keith 'Roaring Kitty' Gill, who went from being a retail investor to an advisor at GameStop. His appointment at Aptos follows a 17% pump in the APT token's price on TripAdvisor in February, partly driven by his memes that revived developer interest. Jihad aims to improve Aptos' messaging and hinted at potential collaborations to attract more users. His efforts have already borne fruit, with World Liberty Financial agreeing to list its USD1 stablecoin on Aptos after he connected its co-founders with Aptos' CEO.
Buzzlamic Jihad's appointment as an advisor at Aptos signals a new era for the network. With his unique background and connections, he is well-positioned to improve Aptos' image and attract more users. His belief in the network, demonstrated by his request to be paid in APT tokens, is a vote of confidence in its future.
