Polestar 3's exterior color takes the leading position in ranking
Maximilian Missoni, the Head of Design at Polestar, has shared his thoughts on the colour palette for the upcoming Polestar 3 model. Known for his work on the design and development of Polestar vehicles, including the Polestar 3, Missoni emphasises the use of natural fiber composites and a luxurious, technical finish in the interior materials.
In an interview, Missoni expressed his preference for subdued colours for Polestar cars, steering clear of highly saturated, less sophisticated hues. He believes that the Polestar 3 cars reflect the Scandinavian concept of modern luxury, which emphasises restraint, curated choices, subdued colours, and natural materials.
According to consumer feedback, the subdued exterior colours of the Polestar 3 cars are more appreciated over more vibrant colours. As of June 2024, 39% of Polestar 3 configurations have Magnesium as the exterior colour, making it the most popular choice. Black and Space follow closely, each accounting for 32% and 29% of the configurations respectively.
Interestingly, Missoni has two favourite exterior colours for the Polestar 3: Space and Snow. He considers Space to be a suitable choice due to its ability to enhance the design's contrast and the car's size. White, too, is a colour that Missoni likes for Polestar, adding a sense of calm and sophistication to the design.
However, Missimilan does not rule out the possibility of seeing other colours, such as red, on Polestar cars in the future. The Polestar 3 car is available in several exterior colours, including Jupiter, Snow, Magnesium, Thunder, Midnight, and Space.
The choice of a monochromatic colour scheme for Polestar's brand and products was made to stand out in a busy and stimulating world, particularly in big cities. To add a touch of elegance, the Polestar 3 cars feature distinct details, such as golden seat belts and valve caps.
