Expansion and Partnerships Drive Growth in the Audiovisual Industry

The audiovisual (AV) industry is witnessing a surge in growth, particularly in the Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA), and Asia-Pacific (APAC) regions. This expansion is being driven by strategic partnerships, leadership appointments, and investments in innovative technologies.

APAC Expansion

Content localization start-up CAMB.AI is capitalizing on the booming media and entertainment market in APAC. With the opening of a new office in Tokyo and the appointment of Takashi Nakamura, former President of DAZN Japan, as President APAC, CAMB.AI aims to globalize content such as anime, K-dramas, and sports by enabling real-time multilingual voice translation and immersive AI dubbing.

Meanwhile, LED Experts Group, a division of CrimsonAV, has partnered with NovaStar to distribute its products throughout North America. This partnership will likely contribute to the region's AV market, which is projected to grow at a CAGR of 8.5% from 2023 to 2030.

EMEA Expansion

In Europe, GCG Enterprise Solutions based in Dubai has expanded its AV business to offer fully integrated, end-to-end solutions. This strategic move positions GCG as a comprehensive partner for future-ready AV infrastructure, catering to corporate, education, hospitality, and government sectors.

Innovative Partnerships in the U.S.

In the United States, AVL Media Group has appointed James Ure as VP of U.S. sales and marketing. Ure, with over 3 decades of experience in the audio and video industry, will help drive the company's growth. Meanwhile, Vislink has appointed Joseph Lipowski as its new CTO, bringing his expertise in RF and wireless technology to the role.

Extron and HETMA have partnered to advance AV technology and solutions for higher education institutions. This partnership will see the two companies jointly participating in industry conferences, webinars, and publications to share insights and drive innovation in AV solutions for education.

Strategic Hires in EMEA and APAC

Chyron is expanding its EMEA and APAC customer-facing team with three new hires: John Foo, Wanlop Wattanadussadee, and Ahmad Nanaa. Meanwhile, LEA Professional has appointed Jon Han as business development manager for the APAC region. Jünger Audio has joined the RAVENNA community, partnering with Lawo to ensure compatibility for its audio-over-IP interface based on SMPTE ST2110, AES67, and other format standards.

Collaboration for Training and Certification

Headline Audio has been appointed as the exclusive distributor for the Harrison range of audio creation products in the U.K. and Ireland. In addition, the partnership will focus on co-developing training and certification programs for AV professionals in higher education.

Investment in Advanced Technologies

Tateside has invested in a London showroom to showcase advanced technologies for collaboration and meeting rooms. Bridge Technologies has partnered with Pixotope to assist in a full ST 2110 transition, aiming to provide Pixotope's full suite of graphic enhancements directly within an ST 2110 production environment.

Control Concepts provides expert support and solutions for various manufacturers' products and control system platforms. The partnership aims to promote thought leadership and industry advocacy within the AV industry. Pixotope has announced Boston Limited as a global hardware partner, merging Boston's legacy of tailored, high-quality solutions with Pixotope's virtual production technology.

These developments illustrate AV companies’ strategies to tap into the robust and varied growth dynamics in EMEA and APAC, combining leadership hires and localized partnerships with innovative AV technologies to meet expanding market needs.
