Paris Cybersecurity Startup MokN Raises €2.6M to Fight Credential Theft
Paris-based cyber security startup MokN has raised €2.6 million in seed funding, led by Moonfire. The company's innovative 'phish-back' technology proactively defends against credential theft, a leading entry point for cyber attacks.
MokN's solution mimics real enterprise systems to lure attackers into revealing stolen credentials. This proactive approach alerts security teams to neutralize threats quickly. The startup has already protected over 500,000 users and generated an annual recurring revenue (ARR) of over €1 million.
The funding round also saw participation from OVNI Capital, Kima Ventures, and several business angels. Moonfire's involvement signals growing investor interest in proactive cyber security tools. With this funding, MokN plans to scale its European operations and launch commercial efforts in the United States. Part of MokN's leadership team will relocate to the U.S. to support this expansion. Notably, a security leader at a French multinational reported intercepting stolen credentials within days of deploying MokN, demonstrating the technology's effectiveness.
MokN's successful seed funding round and proven technology highlight the growing demand for proactive cyber security measures. As credential theft remains the primary entry point for cyber attacks, MokN's innovative approach positions it well to protect businesses and users in Europe and the U.S.
