Overhauled Sound System Boosts Audio Quality, Flexibility, and Production Potential
The DCU Center Upgrades to a State-of-the-Art EAW Audio System
The DCU Center in New England, a central hub for live entertainment, has recently undergone a significant upgrade to its sound system. Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW) has helped the venue enhance every event, allowing it to host the next generation of live entertainment.
The new EAW system, featuring advanced ADAPTive algorithms and digital signal processing (DSP), has been met with overwhelmingly positive feedback from guests. Artists, production teams, and event organizers have all commented on the clarity and balance of the sound throughout the venue.
At the heart of the new system is the EAW ADAPTive Series. This series consists of six main hangs, each with six Anna Loudspeakers and three Otto Subwoofers, totaling 36 Anna loudspeakers across the venue. The system also incorporates Anya and AC6 loudspeakers, elevating overall sound clarity, versatility, and production capabilities.
The ADAPTive feature of the EAW system allows for the easy redeployment of existing speaker clusters with minimal manpower. This means that the DCU Center can now reconfigure speaker clusters into an endzone deployment for events like graduations and family events.
The new system is designed to transform audio clarity and versatility, enhancing the guest audio experience. The ADAPTive system can adapt coverage to different scenarios, focusing full system energy on lower or mid-level seating without the demand of addressing the array mechanically. This allows for less reverb and tighter, more intelligible sound at smaller events, while maintaining the same signature sound for each audience scenario at the DCU Center.
The new system is more efficient and easier to manage for the in-house operations team at the DCU Center. The supplementary QX300 and MK2300 Series loudspeakers provide detailed coverage across all seating zones, ensuring that every seat offers an optimal listening experience.
With the new EAW system in place, the DCU Center can now accommodate more top-tier events. The center's aging sound system was unable to keep pace with the quality of events it hosted. Now, the DCU Center positions itself as a premier destination for those seeking exceptional production quality.
The DCU Center's new EAW system has proven to be a game-changer for live entertainment in New England. From sporting events to concerts and conventions, the upgraded audio system ensures that every event delivers precise, uniform coverage across large and acoustically complex spaces, regardless of the event.
