In the bustling city of New Orleans, the stage is set for Super Bowl LIX. Fox Sports, the Associated Press, the NFL Focus Photography Team, and Funicular Goats have joined forces to bring you an unparalleled broadcast experience.

The production team is armed with advanced equipment and technology, tailored for high-profile live sports events. At the forefront of this technology is Sony, providing cutting-edge solutions for various aspects of the broadcast.

Fox Sports and the NFL Broadcast Technologies have partnered to offer custom-designed, weatherproof, noise-cancelling coaching headsets. These headsets are designed to improve sideline communications, ensuring crystal-clear conversations even in the heat of the game. Sony also supplies Hawk-Eye line technology and production tools, ensuring cutting-edge production quality and durability under extreme conditions like rain and heat.

On-site production services, provided by LTN, form a robust mix with video and data transmission handled by Lumen. This hybrid configuration supports high-quality, resilient live broadcasting across multiple platforms.

The NFL Focus Photography Team likely employs high-resolution digital photography equipment and advanced media asset management (MAM) systems. These systems are crucial for handling vast amounts of visual content efficiently, a necessity for such a high-profile event.

Funicular Goats, a specialized team, is expected to use unique positioning technology, cameras, drones, or other portable gear to capture distinctive angles or content for the production.

Sony Pro Support will offer a pro photographer depot on-site to help service and support the professionals working the game. The brand-new flagship Alpha 1 II camera will be available for loans.

Sony cameras will be positioned in each end zone, along both sidelines, and in multiple positions throughout the stadium. The Associated Press will use more than 55 Sony cameras and a variety of lenses, while the NFL Focus Photography Team will utilise eight Sony cameras and a range of lenses.

Fox Sports will use 97 Sony HDC Series Broadcast System Cameras, 1 Sony FR7 Cinematic PTZ Camera, 3 Sony FX6 Full-Frame Cinema Cameras, 1 Sony Alpha 7 III Mirrorless Camera, and 1 Sony VENICE 2 Digital Cinema Camera. The Associated Press will have 14 photographers and 9 editors on-site using Sony equipment to capture and share imagery.

The Super Bowl Halftime Show will be filmed using Sony Venice 2 Digital Cinema Cameras, Sony Venice Extension System, and Sony Burano for a total of 14 cameras. Game Creek Video will deploy more than 100 cameras on-site for pregame, in-game, and postgame action.

Michael Davies, Fox Sports executive vice president of field operations, stated that Sony is a key tool in reaching the goal of capturing the Super Bowl's energy and keeping viewers engaged. James Coker, head of engineering and technical management at Funicular Goats, states that the Sony Cinema Line cameras provide the perfect combination of full-frame sensor with broadcast compatibility for the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

Both the Associated Press and the NFL's in-house photography are planning to utilize Sony's PDT-FP1 transmitter device on-site to deliver photos and videos directly from camera to editors in real time. Additional Hawk-Eye technology will support in-game officiating and replay services during the Super Bowl.

Sony BVM reference level monitors will be on-site for color grading during the Super Bowl.
