OPSWAT Launches MetaDefender Drive with Smart Touch for Unmatched Portable Cybersecurity
OPSWAT has unveiled MetaDefender Drive with Smart Touch, a portable cybersecurity device designed to scan servers, desktops, and laptops for threats and malware. The device, launched on Tuesday, is purpose-built for critical infrastructure and offers advanced features for uncompromising security.
MetaDefender Drive with Smart Touch combines multiscanning and data sanitization technologies. It proactively detects sensitive information like credit card and social security numbers across various file types. The device also includes a country-of-origin detection capability to flag software components violating compliance requirements.
The device enables deep inspection of cyber assets with boot-level analysis and requires no installation, making it ideal for high-security, air-gapped facilities. Security teams can scan transient assets in fully air-gapped environments without network impact. The solution performs bare-metal multiscanning, detecting threats from the hardware level through user-space files and directories. It leverages up to seven anti-malware engines, file-based vulnerability assessment, proactive data loss prevention, and country-of-origin detection.
MetaDefender Drive with Smart Touch is now available worldwide through OPSWAT and authorized partners, offering both U.S.-made and global models. With its physical connectivity controls, the device eliminates network-based compromise, ensuring robust security for critical infrastructure.
