Oasys Chooses LayerZero for Seamless, Cross-platform Gaming Integration within its Ecosystem
Oasys and LayerZero Partner to Enhance Interoperable Gaming on the Oasys Ecosystem
Oasys, a blockchain platform focused on games, is set to expand its ecosystem with the integration of interoperable gaming support as part of the 2024 Dragon Update. This move aims to foster better communication and interaction across chains and assets, moving from splintered chain standards to an omni-chain standard.
To showcase the integration, Oasys plans to use Ubisoft's Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles. The game, set to debut on the Oasys network, will demonstrate the seamless transfer of in-game assets between networks.
Bryan Pellegrino, Co-Founder and CEO of LayerZero Labs, has highlighted that LayerZero's addition as an Endpoint to Oasys is a significant leap forward in terms of the interoperability of in-game assets. Nicolas Pouard, VP of Strat Lab, shares this sentiment, considering the integration of LayerZero's ONFT technology in Ubisoft's Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles a significant step in the quest for interoperable blockchain games.
LayerZero, an omni-chain interoperability protocol, offers an Omnichain Non-Fungible Token (ONFT) standard, allowing users to mint and transfer NFTs across more than 60 supported chains. The partnership with LayerZero is aimed at enhancing interoperable gaming on the Oasys ecosystem.
Daiki Moriyama, Director of Oasys, has stated that the partnership is a game-changer for the blockchain gaming community. The interoperability integration will first be implemented on Oasys' Layer 2 HOME Verse and will later expand to the L1 Hub-Layer and other Verses.
LayerZero is focused on connecting communities and empowering players by making the games they love more accessible and enjoyable across different networks. The company believes that interoperable cross-chain blockchain gaming removes a significant barrier to Web3 gaming and fosters a richer and more inclusive gaming experience for all.
While the exact date of availability of Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles on the Oasys network has not been specified, the integration of LayerZero into the game will be carried out by the game developers. This partnership is set to revolutionise the blockchain gaming landscape, making it easier for players to enjoy their favourite games across different networks.
