Nio to Introduce the ET9 Special Edition at Nio Day 2025, Accompanied by the Debut of the All-New ES8 Model
The electric vehicle manufacturer, Nio, is set to launch a special edition of its ET9 executive flagship sedan during the Nio Day 2025 event, scheduled to take place in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province.
The main event begins at 7:00 pm Beijing time, with the ET9 special edition launch scheduled for about 7:35 pm. The third-generation ES8 SUV will also be launched during the same event.
Nio shared several images of the ET9 Horizon Edition on Weibo on July 16, revealing a two-tone paint scheme combining blue and silver. The Horizon Edition also includes exclusive wheel designs, adding a touch of elegance to this luxury vehicle.
The ET9 was launched at Nio Day 2024 on December 21, 2024. Since then, cumulative deliveries of the ET9 have reached 2,065 units, according to data compiled by various publications.
Beyond the standard variant, the ET9 also offers a Signature Edition, currently priced starting at RMB 788,000. However, the base price of the standard ET9 has been reduced by RMB 20,000, bringing it down to RMB 768,000.
The ET9 Horizon Edition will be launched later this year. The starting price of the ET9, including the battery pack, was RMB 788,000 ($110,800).
It's worth noting that the ET9 represents Nio's foray into the ultra-luxury market. The company had applied for modifications to the ET9, including two-tone paint, new wheels, and a "Horizon" badge option, according to a regulatory filing on China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology website.
Deliveries of the ET9 commenced in late March this year. The third-generation ES8 launch is scheduled for around 7:50 pm during the Nio Day 2025 event.
