The R&I Partnership on Connected Cooperative Automated Mobility (CCAM) held its General Assembly meeting in Brussels on 22 May, marking a key moment to reflect on the past three years since the partnership's launch. The CCAM partnership, a collaborative effort between public and private entities, was founded through a joint effort between the CCAM Association and the EU Commission to align public and private efforts. The partnership aims to remove barriers and contribute to the acceptance and efficient roll-out of automation technologies and services. The CCAM partnership includes stakeholders from industry, universities and research institutes, services providers, associations and clusters, and public authorities from national and local levels. Members from different industry sectors, research institutes, universities, associations, clusters, service providers, and national and local authorities are part of the partnership. During the meeting, key elections were held for vacant positions. Dr David Storer (our website) and Gereon Meyer (VDI-VDE/IT and CCAM R&I SAC EG co-leader) were confirmed as the leader and co-leader of CCAM Cluster 2 'Vehicle Technologies'. Peter Urban (ika and CCAM R&I SAC EG co-leader) was confirmed as the leader of Cluster 3 'Validation'. Thorsten Burger (Continental) was confirmed as the Automotive Suppliers representative in the CCAM Partnership Board. However, there are no relevant search results available that specify which organizations were elected to the cluster leadership positions during the latest election within the CCAM partnership. The re-election by the General Assembly for a second three-year term of the Executive Group was requested. The meeting looked ahead to the conclusion of the current Horizon-Europe EU R&I funding programme in 2027, and beyond. Christoph Weigand (Continental) will take over from Christian Scharnhorst (Bosch) as CCAM Association Vice-Chair in 2025. The CCAM partnership consists of over 150 members across various industry sectors, research institutes, universities, associations, clusters, service providers, and national and local authorities. The partnership encompasses a collaborative effort between these entities to advance the goals of Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility. The CCAM partnership was established with the goal of gathering all types of stakeholders willing to collaborate at the European level to advance its goals. The partnership includes stakeholders from industry, universities and research institutes, services providers, associations and clusters, and public authorities from national and local levels, working together to help remove barriers and contribute to the acceptance and efficient roll-out of automation technologies and services. The CCAM partnership continues to make strides in advancing Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility, with its diverse membership working together to drive innovation and collaboration in this rapidly evolving field.
