Urban Cowboy Bar in Nashville Amplifies Experience with LEA Professional Systems

In the heart of Nashville's historic Arcade, the Urban Cowboy Bar offers patrons a unique and immersive experience, blending gourmet meals, casual drinks, and entertainment. Spanning over 8,000 square feet, this multi-level venue, which opened in April 2025, has made a significant impact on the city's nightlife scene.

At the core of the Urban Cowboy Bar's dynamic atmosphere is the audio system, designed by Joseph Hazelwood, founder of Hazelwood Laboratories. LEA Professional systems play a crucial role in delivering bold, immersive audio amplification across the venue, catering to its varied design and energy levels.

The upstairs cocktail lounge, with its velvet details and mirror-backed bars, presents a high-design environment, offering a more polished, laid-back ambiance. Meanwhile, the downstairs saloon features a rustic, eclectic atmosphere with wooden elements and vintage decor, creating a more intimate setting.

LEA Professional's amplifiers deliver consistent audio clarity and impact tailored to these distinct zones. The Connect Series 704 and Connect Series 354 amplifiers, installed in the Urban Cowboy Bar, support Hi-Z and Lo-Z selectable by channel and feature Smart Power Bridge technology. This technology ensures that the audio system adapts to the venue's varying power requirements.

Hazelwood utilized LEA's free SharkWare software to configure a base profile and push it out to all the pre-staged LEA amplifiers. SharkWare includes amplifier grouping, offline design, granular user access control levels, locked speaker tunings, and a graphical EQ, allowing for precise control over the audio system.

Eight custom HazeX wall controllers were installed, enabling staff to select zones, control the volume, and change sources separately. This flexibility allows the Urban Cowboy Bar to effectively cater to different moods and musical experiences within the same space, enhancing the overall immersive environment for patrons.

The grand opening event in May 2025 was a resounding success, featuring live music, DJs, tattoo artists, stilt walkers, and interactive photo ops. The Urban Cowboy Bar continues to be a popular destination in Nashville, thanks in part to its state-of-the-art audio system powered by LEA Professional.
