Mogu's WeShop AI Revolutionizes Chinese E-commerce Photography
Mogu's WeShop AI, China's first AI e-commerce photography tool, has gained traction since its April 2023 launch. It allows merchants to create professional images without real models or high costs.
WeShop AI uses the Stable Diffusion model to generate high-quality images at scale. It can produce six common types of e-commerce images, supporting modifications like background and model changes.
The tool has nearly 10,000 registered users, with most paid users being cross-border merchants. It offers a basic package at around RMB 298 per month for approximately 2,000 images, making it affordable for businesses.
The release of OpenAI's ChatGPT has sparked significant interest in AI, leading Chinese companies to explore large-scale AI models with creative applications. WeShop AI is one such innovation, addressing the high cost of commercial photography, which typically consumes about 2% of merchants' gross merchandise value (GMV).
Mogu's WeShop AI is revolutionising e-commerce photography in China. By harnessing AI, it provides a scalable, affordable solution for merchants, reducing the need for real models and traditional photography costs.
