MoaanFLY True Color E-reader Smashes Kickstarter Goal
Moaan, a subsidiary of Xiaomi, has launched its first crowdfunding campaign for an e-reader, the MoaanFLY True Color, on Kickstarter. The device has raised over $40,000 in just a few days, thanks to its impressive features and wide usability.
The MoaanFLY True Color boasts a 7-inch E Ink Kaleido3 color display, offering a resolution of 1264×1680 at 300 PPI for black and white, and 632×840 at 150 PPI for color. This provides a sharp, clear reading experience. The device also features a flush screen with glass protection and anti-glare etching, along with 32 levels of warm and cool lighting for comfortable reading in various conditions.
Powered by a Rockchip RK3576 octa-core 2.2 GHz processor, 4GB RAM, and 64GB of storage, the MoaanFLY True Color runs Android 14. This allows for a portable E Ink tablet experience, with stylus support and access to various file formats and apps. It also includes page-turn buttons and has a design similar to the Kindle Oasis. The device is equipped with a dual battery system, featuring an internal 1,200 mAh battery and an additional 1,950 mAh in the power case, ensuring long-lasting use.
The early bird pledge for the MoaanFLY True Color is $299, with the price increasing based on the number of pledges received. The device supports English, making it usable by many users. With its impressive features and successful crowdfunding campaign, the MoaanFLY True Color is set to make a splash in the e-reader market.
