Microsoft Solutions provider's acquisition is being directed by McDermott
On September 16, 2025, SilverTree Equity Partners, a London-based private equity firm specialising in software and tech-enabled businesses, completed the acquisition of Microsoft Solution Partner mhance. The acquisition positions mhance among the largest dedicated Microsoft 365 providers within the UK.
McDermott Will & Schulte provided counsel to SilverTree Equity Partners in the acquisition. Aymen Mahmoud, partner and European head of finance at McDermott Will & Schulte, led the advisory team, with Giulia Venanzoni and Emily Rees also contributing to the effort.
mhance, a UK-based Microsoft Solution Partner, offers solutions for Microsoft Dynamics 365, Azure, SharePoint, Power BI, and Power Platform. The acquisition is expected to bolster mhance's position and facilitate its expansion, strengthening its services across Microsoft 365's ecosystem, including Dynamics 365, Azure, Microsoft Power Platform, and data and AI.
Alan Moody, CEO of mhance, stated that SilverTree's investment will accelerate the company's proven ability to help customers turn AI, data, and business applications into measurable business value. Julian Stone, founder of the Microsoft Dynamics consultancy Pythagoras, was appointed as the Executive Chairman of mhance by SilverTree Equity Partners. Stone believes that the company is uniquely positioned to help customers unlock the full potential of Microsoft 365's AI, Azure, Dynamics 365, and Power Platform ecosystem.
SilverTree Equity managing partner Nicholas Theuerkauf expressed excitement about mhance's growth potential, including organic growth, M&A, expansion into adjacent verticals, enhancing services in Azure and Dynamics, and developing the Data & AI practice.
Among mhance's 500 clients are Médecins Sans Frontières, the RSPB, and Sir Robert McAlpine. The acquisition is expected to further solidify mhance's position as one of the largest dedicated Microsoft 365 partners in the UK, strengthening its services and potential for growth.
Since its establishment in 2018, SilverTree Equity Partners has been involved in over 75 transactions.
