Meta and Ray-Ban have teamed up to bring two groundbreaking pieces of technology to the market: the Meta Ray-Ban Display and the Oakley Meta Vanguard glasses.

Starting September 30, the Meta Ray-Ban Display will be available in the US, with other markets, including the UK, Canada, France, and Italy, following suit in early 2026. Germany, however, is yet to confirm its availability.

The Meta Ray-Ban Display is a pair of smart spectacles that come with a full-color monocular display in the right eye, offering a 120-degree field of view. The display boasts a resolution of 600×600 and an impressive 42 pixels per degree, ensuring a clear and immersive viewing experience.

One of the standout features of the Meta Ray-Ban Display is its 12MP camera, equipped with 3x zoom levels. This camera is centrally mounted and offers a 122-degree field of view, perfect for capturing those memorable moments. The display also features UV detection, ensuring your eyes are protected from harmful rays.

The Meta Ray-Ban Display offers a battery life of 30 hours on standby and around 6 hours on mixed use on a busy day. It also has a 90Hz refresh rate for media content and a 30Hz refresh rate for content scrolling.

In addition to the Meta Ray-Ban Display, Oakley has introduced the Meta Vanguard glasses. These glasses are designed by Oakley and feature a wrap-around design, making them ideal for an active lifestyle. The Oakley Meta Vanguard glasses come with a 12MP ultrawide camera, a five-mic array for clearer conversations, and 6dB speakers in each arm to cancel out distracting ambient noises.

The Oakley Meta Vanguard glasses offer a battery life of 9 hours. They also have a centrally mounted 12MP ultrawide camera with a 122-degree FOV, similar to the Meta Ray-Ban Display.

The Neural Band, an accessory for the Meta Ray-Ban Display, is another exciting addition. This band detects gestures, swipes, taps, pinches, or rotations for smooth operation. The Neural Band will also gain the ability to detect handwritten notes or messages later in the year. It comes with a battery life of 18 hours and is available in Shiny Black or Shiny Sand colorways.

The Oakley Meta Vanguard glasses are priced at $499 and can be pre-ordered, with shipping scheduled for October 21. The Meta Ray-Ban Display will be available in two colors - Black and Sand.

Both the Meta Ray-Ban Display and the Oakley Meta Vanguard glasses are significant steps forward in the realm of smart glasses technology. They offer a blend of style, functionality, and cutting-edge technology, making them a must-have for tech enthusiasts and fashion aficionados alike.
