Mahindra Logistics & Seino MLL Join Forces for Rs. 1,000 Crore Indian Logistics Push
Mahindra Logistics and Seino MLL Logistics have joined forces to provide comprehensive logistics and digitization solutions for both automotive and non-automotive sectors in India. The partnership aims to create a sustainable Rs. 1,000 crore ($120 million) business model over the next five years, supporting the Make in India initiative.
The collaboration between the two companies, Unio Enterprise and OIQ Global, will focus on technology, operations, process innovation, and sustainability to deliver optimized services and extend reach in India. Seino MLL Logistics will provide warehousing and transport services supported by digital technologies, catering to both automotive and non-automotive companies.
The Indian automotive market has shown significant growth in 2023. Commercial vehicle sales reached over 978,000, marking a 5% increase from the previous year, while passenger car sales surpassed 4.1 million, with an 8% increase, as reported by Siam. Maruti Suzuki, the Indian subsidiary of Japan's Suzuki Motor, dominated the market with seven models among the ten best-selling cars in India in 2023.
Yoshitaka Taguchi, CEO of Seino Holdings, expressed that the partnership will offer comprehensive logistics solutions with a customer-centric approach and efficient end-to-end supply chain management. The collaboration envisions creating a Rs. 1,000 crore ($120 million) business model over the next five years, contributing to the growth and sustainability of the Indian logistics industry.
