Luxury yacht manufacturer Southern Wind finds equilibrium in its exclusive vessel designs, titled "The Perfect Balance"
Southern Wind Yachts, a renowned builder of luxury sailing yachts, has announced a new brand identity, aptly named "The Perfect Balance." This rebranding marks a significant milestone in the company's journey, reflecting its ethos of innovation and moderation.
The unveiling took place during a Southern Wind Family Dinner at the Atzaró Agroturismo in Ibiza, during the Ibiza JoySail regatta. The event was attended by the company's clients, crew members, and passionate sailors, who were the first to witness the new monogram that captures a sense of continuity and family. The monogram features 'Southern' and 'Wind' on a single line, with a circular monogram representing the community of passionate sailors.
Southern Wind's yachts have always been known for their balance between high-performance sailing and luxurious comfort. This balance is now encapsulated in the new brand identity, which aims to clarify the company's current and future position in the sailing superyacht industry.
Toby Hodges, a well-known figure in the sailing world, has recently released a video of sail trialling the SW108 Kiboko 4, a new yacht for a previous SW105 owner. This video serves as a testament to the quality and performance of Southern Wind's yachts.
Southern Wind's ethos is a blend of innovation and moderation, inspired by Aristotle's timeless wisdom: "In Medio stat Virtus." This philosophy guides the company in its pursuit of creating yachts that are always at the leading edge but never chase the bleeding edge.
The company offers a full-circle process of yacht ownership, including After Sales, Yacht Management, and Charter Management. Southern Wind invites its clients, crew members, and passionate sailors to become part of a close-knit family of like-minded, understated individuals.
Currently, four yachts are in build at Southern Wind, including the third SW108, the first unit of the brand new project SW100X, and the SW123 for delivery in 2027. Southern Wind has been building luxury sailing yachts since 1991, having launched over 35 yachts in the 30m+ range.
Under the leadership of the new CEO, Marco Alberti, Southern Wind continues to push the boundaries of sailing yacht design and construction.
