Luxurious, Electric 2025 Lexus RZ SUV Offers Style and Technology Advancements

The 2025 Lexus RZ electric SUV is set to make waves in the electric vehicle market, offering two main configurations: the front-wheel drive (FWD) RZ 300e and the all-wheel drive (AWD) RZ 450e.

The RZ 300e boasts a powerful 201 horsepower and 196 lb-ft of torque, while the RZ 450e packs a punch with 308 horsepower and an impressive 320 lb-ft of torque. The AWD version can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 4.6 seconds, making it a speedy choice for those seeking performance.

The RZ 300e offers an EPA-estimated driving range of up to 266 miles, charging to full capacity in about 11 hours with standard charging. The RZ 450e AWD, on the other hand, has a 71.4-kWh battery and delivers up to 220 miles of range on 18-inch wheels.

The RZ showcases Lexus's refined styling, featuring a signature spindle grille and sharp LED headlights, although it does not include a front trunk (frunk), which is unusual for 2025 EVs. The vehicle seats five occupants and measures roughly 189 inches long, 74 inches wide (without mirrors), and 64 inches tall.

Inside, the RZ features a tazuna-inspired cockpit prioritizing driver connection. The cabin includes premium materials like Ultrasuede and biobased leather substitutes. Remote charging management is built into the Lexus app, allowing for easy scheduling of charging sessions.

The RZ benefits from thoughtful aerodynamics, including an innovative roof spoiler, that boost range and stability. It also offers DC fast-charge capability, topping up from low to 80% in about 30 minutes.

For those seeking additional luxury, the RZ lineup includes a Luxury trim, which offers bi-tone paint options and 20-inch wheels. The RZ 450e AWD, in particular, leverages dual eAxles (150-kW front and 80-kW rear) for its power.

The 2025 RZ starts at $48,675 for the RZ 300e and $58,605 for the Luxury AWD, making it competitively priced against rivals like the Tesla Model Y. Pricing is notably lower than Lexus's previous year's electric SUV offerings. Lexus partners with ChargePoint for at-home Level 2 charger installation.

Warranties for the RZ include a 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty and a 6-year/70,000-mile powertrain warranty. With its combination of style, performance, and affordability, the 2025 Lexus RZ is poised to be a strong contender in the electric SUV market.
