Logistics2025: Aral Offers Electricity, Renewable Diesel, and Digital Aides for Road Transportation

At the Transport Logistic 2025 event in Munich, Aral Fleet Solutions, a subsidiary of the BP group, is presenting a comprehensive portfolio of sustainable transport solutions designed for heavy commercial vehicles. The focus of these offerings includes new charging solutions, digital toll solutions, and alternative fuel options.

Aral Fleet Solutions is emphasizing efficient and lower-emission transport solutions for road freight, with a particular focus on electric vehicles and sustainable fuels. The company's strategy revolves around integrating electrification, digitalization, and alternative fuels as pillars of sustainable heavy commercial vehicle transportation.

One of the key innovations being presented is a new charging solution tailored to the needs of heavy-duty vehicles, aiming to improve the efficiency and sustainability of electric vehicle operations within fleets. Aral is also expanding its offering in alternative fuels, with hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) becoming available at selected service areas in Germany. Aral Fleet Solutions fuel cards provide access to over 1,500 fuel stations in 15 European countries where HVO is offered.

In terms of digital solutions, Aral's digitalization of toll processing allows companies to centrally settle toll fees in currently 18 countries with the Aral toll box for the European EETS system. The toll box is designed for various vehicle categories and deployment scenarios, providing simplified and optimized toll payments and management.

The Aral toll box also offers solutions for bridge or ferry fees, secure truck parking, and reclaiming value-added and excise taxes, as part of Aral's expanded service portfolio for on-the-go needs. Additionally, Aral is collaborating with partner Vattenfall Incharge to provide individual charging infrastructure solutions for companies.

Aral's Fuel & Charge app has been updated to offer more transparent price overviews and expanded Reimbursement Service for legally compliant driver energy cost reimbursement. Professional vehicle washes for commercial vehicles are also available through the Aral system.

The aim of these innovations is to supply major metropolitan areas and main traffic routes in Germany with HVO, with the ultimate goal of reducing the environmental footprint of transport fleets while maintaining operational efficiency in the logistics and transport sectors.

Aral's participation at Transport Logistic 2025 underscores their commitment to enabling a shift towards greener transport through innovative solutions, aligning with broader industry trends where companies within the energy and fuels sector are investing heavily in biofuels and digital technologies to drive decarbonization in transport logistics.
