Li Auto plans to deliver approximately 8,000 Li i8 SUVs by the end of September
Li Auto Announces Delivery Target for Li i8 and Upcoming Launch of Li i6
Li Auto, a Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, has set a delivery target of up to 10,000 units for its Li i8 electric SUV before the National Day holiday in China, which falls between October 1 and 8. The deliveries of the Li i8, the company's second battery electric vehicle (BEV) model, are scheduled to begin on August 20, as previously announced.
The relaunched Li i8 now comes in only one available trim and starts at RMB 339,800, making it slightly more expensive than the Li L8 EREV, which has a starting price of RMB 321,800. Despite the higher price tag, the Li i8 is expected to be a popular choice due to its impressive specifications and the growing demand for electric vehicles.
In a recent announcement, Li Auto also revealed that it will launch the Li i6, a smaller electric SUV, in September. The exact delivery schedule and timeline for the Li i6 have not been disclosed yet, but it is expected to be priced lower than the Li i8. The Li i6 is anticipated to cater to a wider audience, offering a more affordable electric vehicle option from Li Auto.
The company's latest financial report shows a significant decline in monthly deliveries over the past few months. In July, Li Auto delivered 30,731 vehicles, a decrease of 39.74 percent year-on-year and 15.29 percent month-on-month. However, the Li Mega, another model in Li Auto's lineup, saw a year-on-year increase of 330 percent, indicating a positive trend for the company.
Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI) has announced a delivery target of more than 8,000 Li i8 units by the end of September. Customers who order the Li i8 now are expected to receive delivery in 10-12 weeks, according to Li Auto's website.
As Li Auto prepares for the launch of the Li i6, the company is aiming to regain its momentum in the competitive electric vehicle market. With the Li i6 set to offer an affordable electric vehicle option, Li Auto is poised to attract a wider customer base and solidify its position in the industry.
