Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas Expands Leadership Team with New Partners
Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM), one of India's leading law firms, is actively expanding its partnership and leadership team as part of a broader growth strategy. The firm has recently elevated seven partners to equity partnership and appointed Abhishek Kalra as a new partner in its corporate practice.
The seven partners who were elevated to equity partnership are based across Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, and Bengaluru offices, strengthening leadership in key practice areas such as general corporate, disputes, private equity, real estate, and corporate governance.
In addition to these elevations, CAM appointed Abhishek Kalra as a partner in its corporate practice in Mumbai. Kalra brings over 12 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions and private equity to the firm. He re-joins CAM after a stint at Trilegal.
Before joining CAM, Kalra served as a principal associate at the firm between 2020 and 2023. Prior to that, he worked at Trilegal for over two years.
JSA's Iqbal Khan, who previously worked as a partner at JSA and later at AZB & Partners for over two years, has also joined CAM as a partner in the corporate practice. Khan specializes in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and capital markets, with over 20 years of post-qualification experience. He holds a BA LLB from the University of Mumbai (2001) and a Master of Laws from Columbia Law School.
CAM operates from key business hubs like Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Ahmedababd, Hyderabad, Chennai, GIFT City, Singapore, and Abu Dhabi. The firm's strategic focus on expanding capabilities in high-growth sectors and maintaining its market leadership across India is reflected in these appointments.
