Kia EV4 Sedan Set to Revolutionize NZ EV Market with Impressive Range and Competitive Pricing
Kia New Zealand recently hosted an 'EV Day' event, featuring a surprise appearance by the upcoming Kia EV4 sedan. This sleek electric vehicle is set to join the local stock market today later this year, following the official launch of its SUV counterpart, the EV3.
The EV4, a sedan version of the EV3 SUV, shares many of its electric powertrain components. It offers the same battery and motor options: a 58.3 kWh standard battery, an 81.4 kWh long-range battery, and a 150kW electric motor. Kia expects the long-range EV4 sedan to achieve an impressive 630km range under the WLTP cycle, thanks to its slippery shape and low drag coefficient of 0.23.
The EV4's pricing is expected to align with its EV3 sibling. The entry-level EV3 Light model starts at $55,290, offering a 58kWh battery and a 436km range. The top-spec GT Line model costs $75,220, featuring an 81kWh battery and a 563km range. Kia has not yet announced the EV4's pricing, but it is anticipated to be competitive in the local stock market today.
The Kia EV4 sedan's appearance at the 'EV Day' event has generated excitement among New Zealand customers. With its impressive range, sleek design, and competitive pricing expected, the EV4 is poised to make a significant impact on the local electric vehicle stock market today when it arrives later this year.
