Kazakhstan's SWF Unveils AI Tool SKAI for Revolutionary Corporate Governance
Kazakhstan's Samruk-Kazyna Sovereign Wealth Fund has unveiled SKAI, an artificial intelligence neural network set to revolutionize corporate governance. Led by Asset Issekeshev, the fund aims to enhance transparency and decision-making quality with this innovative tool.
SKAI, operating on the powerful AlFarabium-2 supercomputer, ensures data sovereignty and high computing power. It combines human decision-making with AI, marking a significant advancement in corporate governance. The initiative was presented to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the Digital Bridge Forum in Astana on Oct. 2.
SKAI improves transparency by processing and analyzing internal and external regulations, Board decisions, and corporate records. It runs on the Kazakh-language Alem LLM model, supporting the development of domestic AI capabilities. The fund's long-term digitalization and management transformation strategy drives this initiative.
SKAI, the first AI-powered independent member of a Board of Directors in the region with voting rights, will be tested at the Fund's next Board of Directors meeting. This marks the start of its integration into governance practices, promising enhanced efficiency and decision-making quality.
