Avatr Technology Opens High-Tech Production Plant in Partnership with Industry Leaders

Avatr Technology, a leading name in the automotive industry, has officially opened a new vehicle production plant in July 2025. The facility, located in Chongqing, is a testament to the power of collaboration, developed in partnership with Changan Automobile, Huawei, China Unicom, and other industry leaders.

This state-of-the-art plant, dubbed the "5G Digital-AI Super Factory," is a fully digitalized, flexible factory that leverages the latest technologies to ensure high-speed, automated vehicle assembly. The production line operates with a high level of automation, capable of completing one vehicle every 60 seconds.

The factory supports over 1,200 individual vehicle configurations, including various powertrains and customizations. It is equipped with 369 monitoring points, 26 quality checkpoints, and AI-assisted visual inspection systems across 73 workstations. Smart tools like torque wrenches that instantly detect fastening errors are used to ensure quality control.

The plant's infrastructure integrates digital systems such as automation, 5G network equipment, AI analytics, and data tracking infrastructure. Each assembly station is equipped with smart torque wrenches that detect incorrect torque in real time and provide automated alerts to ensure fastening accuracy.

In addition to the factory, Avatr and Huawei plan to launch a new flagship SUV, signalling ambitions to expand to 17 new models by 2030 and reach an annual global production of 800,000 units. The company has already started international expansion, entering multiple markets in Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

In July 2025, the company launched the Avatr 11 in Singapore. A livestream walkthrough of the newly operational plant was also hosted, offering a guided look at its manufacturing systems. The Chongqing factory integrates advanced 5G and industrial IoT technologies, connecting over 12,000 devices to improve production efficiency.

The plant also includes a 36-megawatt distributed solar power system that provides approximately 19% of the factory's electricity consumption. Changan Automobile, another key partner, opened an automated factory in Chongqing in October 2024, capable of producing up to 280,000 vehicles annually.

Changan's Deepal has announced plans to unveil the world's most integrated, efficient electric drive in 2026. Avatr, having sold 73,000 vehicles in 2024, more than double its 2023 total, is poised for substantial global market growth.

The collaboration between Avatr Technology and industry leaders, such as Changan Automobile, Huawei, China Unicom, and others, has led to the creation of the "5G Digital-AI Super Factory" in the automotive industry, leveraging finance for high-tech production. The factory, capable of producing one vehicle every 60 seconds, showcases the integration of advanced technology, including AI and 5G networks, in the transportation sector.
