Introducing Apple's innovative app, Freeform, engineered for stimulating brainstorming sessions and team collaboration in a creative environment.
Apple has launched a new app called Freeform, designed to revolutionise the way users collaborate and brainstorm creatively. Available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac starting December 13, 2022, Freeform offers an infinite canvas for users to organise and visually lay out content with ease.
Freeform caters to a wide range of needs, providing a variety of brush styles and colour options for sketching ideas, adding comments, and drawing diagrams. It supports a multitude of file types, including photos, videos, audio, documents, PDFs, links to websites and map location links, sticky notes, shapes, diagrams, and more. This versatility allows users to incorporate a diverse array of content into their boards.
One of the standout features of Freeform is its real-time collaboration capabilities. All collaborators can view others' contributions in sync, thanks to fast-sync capabilities and iCloud integration. Users can invite others to a Freeform board via a link or email, or even directly from a Messages thread.
Freeform boards are stored in iCloud, ensuring that users can stay in sync across devices. This means that whether you're working on an iPhone 13, iPad, or Mac, your boards will always be up-to-date.
For added convenience, Freeform allows users to add a wide range of files and preview them inline without leaving the board. It also has built-in FaceTime capabilities, allowing users to start a call within the app and collaborate with others while on a call.
Activity updates in a Freeform board will show up at the top of the Messages thread, keeping all participants informed of the latest changes. Freeform supports up to 100 collaborators working simultaneously on a single board, making it an ideal tool for large teams.
Best of all, Freeform is available for free on every iPhone 13, iPad, and Mac supporting iOS 16.2, iPadOS 16.2, or macOS Ventura 13.1, starting from today. If you're looking for a new way to collaborate creatively, give Freeform a try.
